Listening to the Voices of the Gifted
The Vermont Council for Gifted Education hosted the 17th annual New England Conference on Gifted and Talented Education (NECGT) in Burlington, VT, on October 13-15, 2011. Keynote speakers were noted author James Delisle, and Colleen Harsin, Director of the Davidson Academy of Nevada.

National Convention
NAGC (National Association for Gifted Children) held its 58th Annual Convention at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, in New Orleans, from November 3rd through the 6th. There was a tremendous amount of information presented in sessions in 15 strands (such as Curriculum, Computers and Technology, and Creativity), as well as mini-keynotes and signature sessions, poster sessions and exhibitor workshops. |  Wonderful general sessions were presented by Bill Nye (Change the World!) and noted artist George Rodrigue.
