STATE of NH INFORMATION on GIFTED EDUCATION


The State of New Hampshire does not require, nor does it provide for, the identification of, or specific programming for the education of, gifted students.  It does, however, require that a "free and appropriate" education be provided for all students. It may also now require SAUs to report to the state how they are meeting the needs of gifted students. There is no employee at the state level to contact for information regarding gifted education, or for help on how to have the academic needs of your gifted student or child met.
